Think you might want to sing with us? This recruiting party will be a fun opportunity to sing, snack, and socialize, and you’ll get a chance to find out if this is the right choir for you.
The plan for our spring season is for Murmuration (our adult women’s choir) to continue our connection and mentorship with Exaltation (our teenage women’s choir from Franklin High School)!
Murmuration usually meets from 7:15-8:45pm on Mondays at MCC Portland. Four or five times during the spring, Murmuration will meet at 5 p.m. at Marshall High School (Franklin’s new home) to eat & rehearse with Exaltation, who will stay late those nights.
Our spring program will revolve around the theme of Home. We’ll be working with local storyteller Lynne Duddy to explore telling our own stories about home. We’ll probably perform five songs that weave pieces of these stories together–some new and some from past programs.
We’ll have our spring schedule of rehearsals (February, March, April) and performances (May) posted here soon — http://resonatepdx.org/memberinfo/
All singers need to be able to match pitch and hold a harmony part; if you’re not sure about meeting these requirements, please contact our director, Kristin (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Hope to see you there!
